Interview with Nayeli Fanfan, Best Female Model of the World 2012

Model Nayeli Fanfan:
Ralph’s story of « Kenscoff »  explain how he rebuilt himself from nothing . I can relate to his story because due to political chaos, I was obliged to leave Haiti and move to Miami at the age of 17. I had to rebuilt myself from nothing just like him, thus besides my talent and expertise , I will be able to help Ralph Leroy complete his message of survival, strength, self empowerment, accomplishment and success  during Montreal Fashion Week.

3- What are the key elements that determine your choice of designer with whom you will be working?

The key elements that determine my choice of designer with whom I work with comes down to reputation of the designer, the history of how they came to be, the quality of the clothes, and the overall creativity and energy of the designer.

4- Ralph Leroy, with Kenscoff, wants to bring Haiti to Montreal. To what extent do you think it’s important to remain connected to the Haitian community for you, and your career?

Model Nayeli Fanfan:
Haiti is rich in terms of culture, talent, and artistic inspiration. The fashion industry is a gateway for me and others to introduce these qualities to the international world. As a proud Haitian, it’s my responsibility to not only remain connected with my community but to also represent the country to the fullest. Haiti has enough bad news and images in the media, I want to show the beautiful side of Haiti thus every time I get the opportunity to showcase Haiti’s positive qualities like the talent designers, fashion and arts, I get very excited and motivated.

BEST (1)5- As a model, how do you make your mark in the fashion industry?

Model Nayeli Fanfan:
Being ambitious and  always going the extras mile allows me to be different then the other models and be remembered. Being careful and participating in prestigious and valuable activities allows me to create a name for myself and a good reputation. Enjoying my work and loving what I do allows me to excel and succeed. Working hard with discipline allows me to be a champion and title holder of various pageants and competitions such as  winning « Best Female Model of the World Championship 2012 » in Hollywood, California. By being honest, humble, polite and kind makes me a great model with good business ethic and rapport with the people I work with.  All those qualities allows me to leave my mark in the fashion industry.
