Interview with Sarodj Bertin, Reina Hispanoamericana 2012 & Miss Haiti Universe 2010

Miss Sarodj BertinSarodj Bertin: It is an honor for me to work and to support such a great talented Haitian designer! I believe the fashion show will be amazing, and we will have a great time.

What do you think you will be bringing to Kenscoff

Sarodj Bertin: Joy and happiness, of course representing our country HAITI in this amazing collection, which will project a lot about Haitian culture.

What are the key elements that determine your choice of designer with whom you will be working?

Sarodj Bertin: I work with people that I identify with and Ralph is a great personl, besides being a great designer, I understand his aims in fashion, and support them, because I feel they are right for him!

Ralph Leroy, with Kenscoff, wants to bring Haiti to Montreal. To what extent do you think it’s important to remain connected to the Haitian community for you, and your career?

Sarodj Bertin: I put Haiti in all the things I do internationally, I believe in my country and my people, and I know that we, as Haitians are responsible for showing the world what HAITI really is.

As a model, how do you make your mark in the fashion industry?

Sarodj Bertin: I am just myself, and I love what I do, so I do it with my heart!

Merci Sarodj!
